The following point penalties are in effect as of July 1, 2006.
There will be a one (1) week exception to this rule, which will be the fist week of league play for each season, for all teams, there will be no exceptions to the penalties that the league will impose listed below after the first (1st) week of play.
There are two types of point penalties that may be assessed to a team during each season. They are Goal Penalties and Standing Point Penalties. They are explained below.
Goal Penalties - Points awared to opposing team.
Standing Point Penalties - Points removed from a teams overall total points in there respective division standings.
All point penalties that will be imposed will be taken from the teams total points refelected in the standings.
Teams that have been assessed a point penaltiy will be notified either by one of the League Directors or Referee, Notification will either be verbal during or after the match or by e-mail after completion of the days matches, but are not limited to these methods of notification.
Goal Point Penalties: This is a penalty that may award a teams opponent a 1 goal lead, for the following: All goal penalties are in increments of one (1) point.
- Team is Late: The referee will allow a 10 minute grace period. At the end of the 10 minute grace period, if the match is not ready to begin the referee will award a one (1) goal point to the team that is ready to being the match. For every five (5) minutes after the grace period the referee will award an additional one (1) point to the team that is ready to begin the match, until the match commences. After a period of twenty (20) minutes the game will be called by the referee with the final score refelecting a 3 - 0.
(1point for 10 min, 1 point per additional 5 min up to 20 min = 3 points)
- Failure to have goal setup prior to official start time of match: This must me completed prior to the scheduled start time of the match. Refer above (Team is Late) for penalties that will be imposed.
Expection to this is will be for major traffic issues or accident, and must refelect in both or multiple teams being late.
Standing Point Penalties - Are penalties that will be imposed and taken from the teams overall total points refelected in that teams respective division standings.
Point Penalty System as follows:
One (1) point penalties:
- Accumulation of five (5) Direct Red Cards per team.
- Accumulation of three (3) additional Direct Red Cards per team after the first initial five (5).
- Last Scheduled Teams to play on each field for the day, failure to break down the goal post and nets and return then to the League Trailer.
Two (2) point penalties:
- Failure to turn in a Game Report Form to the Referee or League Official prior to, during or at the conclusion of your match and/or prior to departing the field area for the day.
- Player involvement in any physical altercation on or off the field of play.
Five (5) point penalty:
- Any team forfeiting five (5) league games with-in one (1) season.
