New for Next Season (Jan 2008)

Well another season has come to an end, with some great games played during the tournament. Thank you to everyone that played in the league this season, and I personally thank you all for your continued support to the league over the last several years while I was deployed to Iraq.

In an effort to provied a better soccer experience to you, the players, there are going to be some new changes for our upcoming season.

ID Cards - The league will bring back Player ID Cards, however there will be a new system of tracking. The new ID Cards are similar to Credit Cards, with your photo and Team Name, the cards will include a bar code in which each player will be required to physically check in via a computer bar codes scanner.

Field Check-in - This coming season we are looking at having check in tables at each of the fields, where each player will have to check in with a league staff member prior to playing your game. This is in an effort to keep players from other teams joining in the game to help out another team. Teams will be required to fill out the Game Report Form prior to there game as well.

Again Players the legue appriciates your dedication and continued support to the league. We hope that these changes will provide for a better and more relaxed season for you and the staff.

Thanks again Players.

Update: R.C.S.L. referees for 2008 season

The R.C.S.L. is pleased to announce after consideration and joining with some individuals the League will now have its own pool of certified referees for our 2008 soccer season.

Again in an effort to provide a better soccer experience to you the players we have brokered a deal with referees for the 2008 season and hopefully there continued referee support to the league.

All league referees will fall under the of the charge of the League Head Referee. He will be present to monitor the referees as well as monitor all the players within the league.

The league and its staff will support all referees calls, decisions, and recommendations as long as it is in the best interest of the league and you the players.

Players please give these referees your support and respect as they will fully respect your and your families.

Players please enjoy the continued progress in making the league all it can be and much more.

I look forward to seeing you all on the field.

Thank You,

League Director

GOALIE WAR TOURNAMENT

IT HAS RETURNED

YES, GOALIE WAR TOURNAMENT is returning to the R.S.C.L. For those that competed in the last GOALIE WAR Tournament you are familiar with the new Xtreme sport where one soccer goalkeeper competes against another in a timed battle of skill, wit and endurance. In this fast paced, highly charged competition, two goalkeepers square off in a Goalie War® arena blasting punts, throws and kicks at each other. In an attempt to score as many goals as they can before the referee's whistle is heard ending the match. Whoever scores more goals than his/her opponent, wins the game and advances to the next round until there is on one warrior left standing"

R.C.S.L. makes the Valley News Paper

Another season of RCSL soccer begins
By Melissa Ramos

12/8/2006 7:16:57 PM

The Rancho California Soccer League (RCSL) has just finished up its fall season, but the league’s winter season is already underway with many teams returning as well as some new teams. The Men’s Premier and Men’s First Division will once again be the main divisions for men, but this season RCSL is organizing teams in the Women’s Open Division and a Coed Division.

RCSL is always looking for more players to fill out rosters on already established teams or groups of players wanting to form a team. The divisions playing during the winter season are all semi-competitive, best suited for players familiar with the game and looking for a place to continue playing soccer. Part of the league’s mission is to provide a competitive place for soccer players to exhibit their skill in organized games as well as provide players with continued physical training.

The men’s and coed competition opened December 3 with eight games played within the league. Games are played on either the fields of Rainbow Canyon Park or Vallecitos School in Rainbow. Women’s games are expected to begin December 10, yet team entries are still being accepted.

The regular season has duration of 12 weeks, ending February 18. The following weekend is dedicated to completing makeup games. Week 14 is the beginning of the playoffs tournament, which will last for the following two weeks, crowning a team champion and ending the season at 16 weeks.

RCSL offers many benefits for its players, such as methods of improvement. Goalie clinics are often organized in order to increase the quality of the league and assure the best possible level of competition for teams. In addition, RCSL sponsor Soccer Crazy Equipment presents the winner of each league with a complete uniform set for the team (up to 15 players).

RCSL is a great adult soccer league that can help any soccer fanatic or enthusiast continue playing in a competitive yet friendly environment. Registration materials can be found at www.ranchocaliforniasoccerleague.com.
